Recently, a high-level delegation of the UNESCO China-Africa Trust Fund Project visited Beijing Polytechnic University. Chen Jiangfeng, Vice President of the university, received the visiting group.

In his speech, Chen Jiangfeng pointed out that as Beijing's first municipal undergraduate vocational college, Beijing Polytechnic University has always adhered to the school-running model of "majors connecting with industries, academic studies connecting with employment, talent training connecting with employer needs, and practice connecting with production". Committed to promoting the high-quality development of vocational education, the university has trained more than 100,000 talents for society over the past nearly 70 years since its establishment. 

Liu Yufeng, a senior official of UNESCO, mentioned in her speech that vocational education plays an irreplaceable role in promoting economic and social development and youth capacity building. She highly recognized the achievements made by Beijing Polytechnic University in the integration of production and education and international school-running.

The Department of Academic Affairs, Science and Technology Division, and Department of Admissions and Employment delivered speeches on curriculum development, university-enterprise cooperation, and improvement of students' employability respectively. During the discussion session, both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on issues such as academic system connection, teacher-student mutual visits, and students' employment and development paths, and expressed their common willingness to establish a normalized cooperation mechanism.

Prior to the forum, the delegation visited the School of Automotive Engineering and Ant Workshop, and conducted on-site inspections of the university's training bases and teaching facilities.

This visit demonstrated the university's characteristics and achievements in the field of vocational education, and laid a solid foundation for promoting in-depth China-Africa vocational education cooperation.
